ARTTRA's Artistic Concept — More Than Just an Art Studio
ARTTRA is divided into two parts. ART refers to the fusion and balance of skill, intention, and imagination — a medium of expression through the creation of objects, environments, images, movements, or sounds that carry an inherent aesthetic. It speaks to the act of sharing a sense of beauty with others: a deeply human process of self-expression through meaningful emotion and consciousness, distilling and presenting the experiences of individuals or communities.
The TRA in the logo is a mirror image of ART, representing the belief that artistic creation should never be confined by any fixed framework of aesthetic judgment. It embodies a world of opposites yet without boundaries — no right, no wrong, full of playfulness.
Our Motto
Where Imagination Begins:
You imagine what you desire, and you become what you imagine.
This is an encouragement for students to break free from the constraints of the past or the boundaries of reality — and to begin, from this very moment, thinking and creating through a completely new lens.
We encourage students not to be limited by fixed concepts or conventional constraints - but to be bold in exploring new ideas and approaches. By stretching imagination toward infinite possibilities, anyone can create work and solutions that are truly unique and meaningful.
"Imagination begins right now" is a call to embrace creativity, imagination, and innovative thinking in this very moment. Every individual holds unlimited potential - and when we dare to step beyond tradition and our comfort zones, applying imagination to real life, the results can be truly extraordinary.
At ARTTRA, you don't need to know traditional painting techniques. All you need is a spirit of play and exploration!
Let go of right and wrong, and cast aside conventional standards of taste — so you can fully enjoy the pure joy and freedom that the act of painting brings.

Hong Kong's Largest Reptile Art Studio
Founded in 2009, ARTTRA - widely known by the public and media as the "Reptile Studio" - has built a unique identity of its own.
ARTTRA helps students discover and connect with the animal world, enriching their knowledge of nature and wildlife while nurturing compassion and empathy.
At ARTTRA, we bring the real thing up close. Students get to observe live animals firsthand, while instructors share knowledge about their behaviours and habits. Our goal is to sharpen children's powers of observation and imagination.
In many people's eyes, snakes, lizards, chameleons, frogs and similar creatures are seen as unappealing — some even mistakenly believe them to be aggressive, and keep a cautious distance. Yet for children with a curious heart, these animals hold no fear at all. In fact, they can become wonderful first teachers of the natural world.
At ARTTRA, we hope that through real, hands-on interaction, children can reshape their impressions of these misunderstood creatures — while at the same time developing their observation skills and letting their imagination take flight.

Since graduating, Teacher Charlene has been dedicated to teaching children's drawing classes and has guided students through various art competitions.
Charlene believes that drawing is a gateway to discovering new knowledge. She encourages students to observe the world around them with curiosity, and to let their creativity flow freely when creating — experimenting with different colour combinations to produce artwork that is truly and uniquely their own.
